Is booking direct safe?

Absolutely! In fact when a guest books one of our properties on VRBO we process the payment directly using the same processor that our direct guest reservations use.

Will I really save money by booking on the direct booking site?

Yes! Depending on how long our guests book they save between $75-$300. On average our guests that book direct save over $100.

How is staying in a condo different from a hotel room?

An individual condo is more spacious than a hotel room. You will have private bedrooms, a full-sized equipped kitchen, and a full-sized washer and dryer. Our condos will become your home away from home, so you will not have daily housekeeping nor will cleaning products be provided. We clean before you arrive and after your departure.

Do we need to clean the rental when we arrive?

Every rental is professionally cleaned and inspected before your arrival. If cleaning issues are found upon arrival, please contact us immediately on the day of arrival. Most issues found on the day of arrival can be corrected at no charge. Cleaning issues found after the day of arrival may incur additional fees. Silence denotes acceptance.

What are your payment terms?

50% of the reservation total is due at the time the reservation is made. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the check in date. If the reservation is made less than 60 days from the check in date the full amount is due when the reservation is made.

Do you offer travel insurance?

Travel insurance is highly recommended and offered on each reservation at check out. The travel insurance is offered by a third party vendor, Play Travel, so any questions regarding travel insurance should be directed to them at 1-833-610-0736.  

What if there is bad weather?

Should a hurricane or tropical storm threaten our area, we will follow the guidance of governing officials pertaining to mandatory evacuations. Weather is beyond our control and does not constitute a refund. However, some weather-related issues may be covered by travel insurance. We recommend that all guests purchase a travel insurance policy to protect their vacation investment!

Can I smoke in my rental?

All of our rentals are non smoking inside the rental. Smoking is allowed in designated areas of the rentals. Since each rental is unique please check the property information you are interested in, all of our listings have the smoking information listed. 

Can I make additional payments after I have made the initial deposit before the 60 day due date?

Yes, you can make additional payments anytime you want. Our only requirement is the full balance be paid no later than 60 days from the check in date.

Am I guaranteed the unit I reserved?

Although it is very rare for a reservation to be moved, Terry's Vacation Rentals reserves the right to move your reservation to another unit in the event there is an emergency situation or the unit rented becomes unavailable for any reason. If a comparable unit is not available to move the reservation to, you would receive a 100% refund. 

Do you offer long term rentals?

We offer extended stay discounts on monthly rentals starting November 1st and running until March 1st. 

What is a security deposit hold?

A security deposit hold is a pre approved amount placed on hold on your credit card 3 days before arrival. This hold is to protect the rental owner against damages caused to the unit during your stay. The hold will be released once the unit has been inspected after your check out.

What will be provided in my vacation rental?

One round of; toilet paper in each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent and one trash bag in each can is provided; please bring extras. The rental is fully furnished and includes bed linens with a light quilt, pillows, towels, equipped kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, range, toaster, blender and coffee maker).

What do you suggest we bring with us?

Dishwashing soap, Dishwasher detergent, Cleaning products, Condiments, Paper Towels, Trash bags , Aluminum foil, Ziplock bags, Coffee and coffee filters, Laundry detergent, Bath products, Bath tissue, Kleenex, Hairdryer, brush or comb, Toothpaste and toothbrush, Beach towels, Beach Chairs & Umbrellas or they are available to rent from the beach attendant, Sunscreen, Additional blankets. So all of the bedding can be washed between every guest we only provide a light quilt on each bed. If you like a heavy blanket when you sleep please bring one with you.

How do I rent the chairs and umbrellas set up on the beach?  

If a set of chairs and umbrella does not have a name on the back of them already they are available for you to rent. Just start using those chairs and a beach attendant will stop to take payment when they make their next round.

Can I bring my pet?

We do have some pet friendly options. If you will be bringing a pet, click the tab on our home page that says CLICK HERE FOR PET FRIENDLY RENTALS and all of the units listed on that page are pet friendly.

Will there be a grill at my condo? Can I grill on my balcony?

The condos we offer have charcoal grills in the common areas of the building. If you plan on grilling you will need to bring charcoal with you. Grilling is not allowed on any of the balconies. 

What do I need to do to check-out?

Guests are responsible for:

  1. removing all food from the refrigerator/freezer. 
  2. ensuring all pots are cleaned and soiled dishes; glassware and silverware are placed in the dishwasher and start the cleaning cycle. 
  3. Placing all debris, garbage and discards in the trash chutes provided on each floor. 
  4. Leaving unit in a neat condition and furniture arranged as you found it. 
  5. making sure that no items are missing from the unit. (There will be a charge for the cost of any missing items.) 
  6. placing all remotes on end tables or bedside tables. (There will be a $50 charge for missing remotes.) 
  7. Closing and locking all doors and windows. 

Our cleaning fee includes the stripping and remaking of the beds with fresh linens, light dusting, vacuuming and mopping of floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms. If additional cleaning is required  after your check- out or furniture requires re-positioning, you will be charged an additional fee. The additional fee will be collected from the security deposit hold placed on the credit card you provided.
